Well-Sweep Herb Farm - Port Murray, NJ

Emily Hotchkin

Well-Sweep Herb Farm is located in Warren County and is home to one of the largest collections of herbs and perennials in the country. The year 2015 was the farm's 46th year, with their collection now topping 1,923 varieties.

Beyond the many plants for sale - from common and unusual culinary, medicinal, dye and fragrance herbs; to many flowering perennials - Well-Sweep also has many display gardens to view - alpine, shade, butterfly, medicinal, cottage, a brick-lined formal herb garden, and an Elizabethan knot garden.

There are greenhouses to browse through, as well as a gift shop; and Well-Sweep also offers many classes, lectures and events.

Accessibility Notes

The farm has been owned and operated by the Hyde family for 46 years.
