The Museum of Ethnography - Easton, PA
Seen through the lens of anthropology, performance artist and filmmaker Marya presents an eclectic cultural bazaar of 'art'ifacts from cultures real and imagined. Teeming with art work, her alternative gallery, just steps away from Centre Square in downtown Easton, also features a collection of her fabric collage portraits. The museum acts as a venue for viewing Marya's yearly film offering. Since 1999 she has been producing poetic narrative film shorts (under ten minutes in length) often filmed in exotic locations, documenting her life's journey. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the artist by sharing their own life stories.
