Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
The owner, LoriAnn, has lived in the Poconos for her entire life. She moved to modern day Dingman's Ferry 30 years ago, where she was the steward of historic Edgemere Club for 18 years. She has always taken an active role in her community; starting small with leading Packs of Cub Scouts, to becoming a member of her local historical society and Lion's Club, she would later be appointed to the Delaware Township Planning Committee.
In 2004, LoriAnn opened Rimby's, a fine dining Italian Pizzeria, with her husband. Following a divorce in 2005, she took her four boys, and left to open up The Forklift Cafe in 2007. Rimby's would later close in 2011, and LoriAnn would move her new business into the old business' location, where she still operates to this day.
The Forkllift Cafe will be celebrating its 11th year in business.
