Namanock Picnic Area - Bushkill, PA

Historic Site
Sunny picnic at Namanock – National Park Service

While nothing remains today, this was the site of Fort Namanock during the French and Indian War (1754-1763). Forts in this time and era were little more than a sturdy house with a wooden defensive fence surrounding it. Namanock currently serves as a picnic area, with river views glimpsed through the surrounding woods. A boat launch is adjacent to the picnic area.

Picnic and restroom facilities are available.
