Mamakating Rail Trail - Wurtsboro, NY

The Mamakating Rail Trail begins at the East end of Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro and links with four other trails in the town.

The Mamakating Rail Trail is the newest in the network of five trail that run the length of the town. From the trailhead on Sullivan Street it runs north to Summitville where it merges withthe D&H Canal Towpath Trail operated by the town and county and also merges with the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail that also merges in Summitville and has a trailhead off Mamakating Road by the VFW Building. This location is also the trailhead for the Long Path and the Shawangunk Ridge Trail along the top oft he Shawangunk Ridge. Go to under "visiting."
