Easton Public Market - Easton, PA
Opening in Spring of 2016, the Easton Public Market is a project of the Greater Easton Development Partnership (GEDP). Anchoring a downtown market district, the EPM serves as an economic center that features regional and artisanal products, enhances a vibrant local culture and serves as a model for urban innovation.
Easton Public Market will include: butchery, fresh seafood, bakery, artisan cheese, café, chocolatier, local & sustainably grown produce, specialty foods, noodle bar, craft beer, wine, wood-fired pizza, crepes & BBQ. Plus demo kitchen, culinary events and classes.
The Easton Public Market features a nearly 600 square foot full service Demonstration Kitchen located immediately adjacent to the Community Room. The Demonstration Kitchen will host weekly programmed events (cooking classes for kids and adults, food-related educational workshops, local restaurant and celebrity cooking demonstrations, food + wine and/or beers pairings, etc.). The Demonstration Kitchen will also be used to film nutritional and culinary programming. The Demonstration Kitchen will also be available for rent for private gatherings and functions.
The Easton Public Market Farmstand, as an integral part of Easton’s downtown Market District, works to strengthen our region’s food economy by placing a strong emphasis on sourcing products from within a 50 mile radius, working directly with small regional growers, expanding the availability of farm fresh produce in a low-access urban area, connecting the public with growers, educators, and culinary professionals and educating the public on current issues regarding food, nutrition and health.
We introduce guests to new foods and products and new ways to think about shopping.
The Community Room at the Easton Public Market is a nearly 600 square foot flexible space with sliding walls that allow the room to be open for public seating and gathering space during normal market hours and closed off for private functions. In addition to regular use by Market patrons during normal business hours, the Community Room will host programmed events approximately 20 times per year associated with downtown Easton festivals like Bacon Fest, Garlic Fest, Heritage Day, and Riverside Festival of the Arts. The Community Room will also be available for rent for private gatherings and functions
We are the meeting place for old friends and cultivator of new relationships between growers, chefs, home cooks and happy eaters. We create bonds between diverse people, world cuisines, regional tastes and personal health.
We believe that connections to producers and products can transform the health of people and the health of a community.
We help people learn to be healthier. We educate those interested in shopping local, cooking better and eating well. We demonstrate how to create a sustainable business for local vendors.
We encourage vendors to imagine what could be and inspire young entrepreneurs to bring new ideas to life.
