Driftstone Campground - Mount Bethel, PA
Leave your work and worries at home, come camping and enjoy the scenic Delaware River at Driftstone Campground. Our spacious campsites can accommodate your tent, pop-up, trailer, motorhome or fifth wheel. You and your children can participate in various planned activities all season long. In addition to our planned activities there is also a playground, pool, softball field, volleyball court and outdoor chess set. Canoeing, kayaking and rafting are also available.
The Driftstone Campground is a great getaway for the weekend, week or entire season, in close proximity to Philadelphia and New York City. Offering family camping fun for over 50 years, we look forward to your stay with us.
From New Jersey & New York via Interstate 80 West:
Take Columbia Exit #4B in New Jersey and follow signs to Portland, PA. Cross Portland/Columbia toll bridge to toll booth. Turn right immediately after going through toll booth. Go to stop sign at bottom of ramp and turn right onto River Road. Go under toll bridge and continue on River Road for three miles to stop sign. Turn left and continue on River Road for one mile. Driftstone’s entrance is on the left next to the large red barn.
From Delaware Water Gap, PA via Interstate 80 East:
Take Delaware Water Gap Exit #310. Continue straight to second traffic light at PA-611. Go left onto PA-611 south for four miles to traffic light in Portland. Continue straight ahead (go under the Portland/Columbia toll bridge) on River Road for three miles to stop sign. Turn left and continue on River Road for one mile. (Driftstone is 8 miles south of the Gap.) Driftstone’s entrance is on the left next to the large red barn.
From Easton, PA:
Take PA-611 North to traffic light in Martins Creek. Turn right and continue on PA-611 North through Mt. Bethel to PA-611 Exit (Portland) ramp before the toll bridge. Go to the bottom of the ramp and bear right to stop sign. Turn right onto River Road and continue for three miles to stop sign. Turn left and continue on River Road for one mile. Driftstone’s entrance is on the left next to the large red barn.
Driftstone participates in recycling. Recycling receptacles can be found throughout the campground.

Built from the ground up by Earl and Margaret Ackerman, Driftstone Campground opened in 1966. The campground has been in operation for over 50 years now and the Ackermans are still going strong today providing family camping fun.
